Over the years various Witches have written on the subject of the Craft, generating a great deal of interest in the topic. Doreen for the most part chose to act in a way a folklorist may - piecing together myths, legends and folk-tales and finding a common thread throughout. This combination of pure research, solid integrity and clear reasoning makes her writings both refreshing and a reliable source of reference.
Where her talents reached their zenith must surely be in the realm of poetry. Here she proved herself to be one of the mystics of the Craft, bringing deep realisation of the nature of magic not readily expressed in purely factual text. Doreen once said:
